Now in its 45th year of operation, San Gregorio continues its reign as the USA's longest continually-used nude beach. It's located adjacent to San Gregorio State Beach, where nudity is not permitted, it has its own web site and a live web cam that you can find here.

Montara State Beach

Keep your swimsuit handy so you can put it on quickly if you see a ranger heading in your direction at Montara, where the state anti-nudity law continues to be enforced. Most visitors do not go nude. Only a few people still sunbathe topless or nude at the far north end of Montara, which is just south of People's Beach and People's neighbor, Devil's Slide. It originally attracted naturists when a landslide blocked the road to Devil's Slide years ago.

Devil's Slide (Gray Whale Cove)

One of 70 beaches and parks that under an austerity budget signed by Governor Jerry Brown June 30 will be closed by the state to save money, Gray Whale Cove is still open at this writing. It's set to remain available for use through at least July 2012, although the days and hours when it is open may be shortened, according to Roy Stearns, deputy director of communications of the California State Parks.  Read more »
